It's Dylan's birthday, so we all had a night in Cardiff and stayed in the van so we could both have a drink. Dyl, Matt, Lisa, Kayley, Laura and me.A few drinks, an escape room then a meal out in Ty Madeira.
Now that the van is super secure with a working alarm, pedal lock, door security chains, habitation sliding lock and internal habitation lock I was at ease in leaving the van outside Lisa's in Cardiff City centre.
Because of Ed Sheeran in concert, Sophia Gardens was fully booked.
In fact, staying outside Lisa's was ideal. Except we tried sleeping lengthways down the van, and I couldn't get used to it (the driveway was on a slope. Will use chocs next time and sleep in normal position.)
We had a drink in town first with Dylan, Matt and Lisa before meeting Kayley and going to the Escape Room.
A friends of Kayley's had just opened it. It was a science themed room, where we had to solve clues to unlock each room to stop a virus from escaping a storage facility.
Everyone, except for me, were really good at it, picking up clues and working out what to do. It was fun, although I felt a bit useless 😅
After the Escape Room we went to Ty Madeira for food. It was really nice, had beef, chicken, pork skewers with chips, veg and a sauce. And a bottle of wine for me and Laura.
I think Dyl enjoyed himself, especially the Escape Room, and we had a birthday cake when back at the house.
